WorkshopsMARCH 2012BECKY CAMPBELL'S APPLIQUE - There are still spaces available for Becky Campbell's Innovative Appliqué Workshop on March 10, 2012. Get your registration form in!! The registration form was attached to October newsletter. The workshop will be opened up the class to non-members in November if there are vacant seats. The class will be held at The McConnell Arts Center of Worthington at 777 Evening Street. It is about one block off North High Street (west) and Route 161 (north). There is plenty of parking and a bright sunny work space. Time will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This Innovative Appliqué is for beginners and experienced alike. It eliminates timeconsuming tasks - no tracing or placement guide or shapes. no ripping out the back of your work. A design tool ensures that fabric choices work just the way you intended, and gives the option to make changes before pieces are sewn. Innovative Appliqué techniques enable precise turning resulting in accurate shapes. Assemble the entire project before stitching to insure everything fits together. All stages of the project are portable. Innovative Appliqué techniques can be applied to any project. Becky has many tips and techniques to make her patterns a snap to make but elegant after finished. The patterns are a unique take on flowers. The designs were drawn by our very own Bobbie Brooks, then Becky turned them into elegant blocks which can be displayed individually or in a fantastic quilt. No sewing machine is required for the workshop. For more information contact Rita Reed. |
