The meeting was called to order by President Beckey McIntyre. May birthdays
were recognized and visitors were welcomed.

change that required a special vote was the revision of the job description of
the Vice-President. The revised by-laws were approved by acclimation.
- Kathi Machle presented a motion that the QQ dues for next year be
increased to $25.00. The motion was seconded and approved after brief
discussion.

$11,742.00.
- A thank you note from Janet Amlin was read.
- The slate of officers for 2007 – 2008 was presented. The slate of officers
was accepted by acclimation. They are:

- Laura Kreitmeyer reminded members to complete their scarlet and grey
ornaments for the Kid N Kamp Christmas tree.
- Janet White presented an update for the NQA show, June 7-9. Five hundred
(500) quilts are registered. Many volunteers are still needed! Leslie
Floyd will need volunteers to unbox the quilts at the convention center on
Saturday, June 2 from 8:00 a.m. until early afternoon. Call Leslie if you can
help. Mike Weatherby would be glad to receive your Little Quilt Auction
donation. Bobbie Brooks is able to pay helpers $8.00 per hour to hang
the show on Tuesday, June 5. Call Bobbie for more information.
- Bethany Reynolds will be the guest of QQ in October 2007. She will speak
at the meeting October 11 and present workshops on Friday and Saturday the
12th and 13th. More details will follow in the Newsletter, but you can plan to
begin paying for this one at the June meeting.
Phyllis Post was our “Quilter of the Month” and presented many lovely
examples of the work of an “average quilter.”
The June meeting will be jam packed with our end of the year indoor picnic
(bring $2.00 and a side dish or dessert to share). Amy Butler will be our
special guest.
The program was presented by Dorothy Adams. Dorothy showed several examples
of Hawaiian quilts as well as a slide presentation on the history of these
quilts.
The final quilt top auction raised $280.00 for Choices. This makes the total
donation from the auctions $680.00!
There will be no informal summer meetings, due to construction at the church.
Show and tell completed the evening.
Respectfully submitted, Jane Hedge Secretary
