Minutes from the April 13, 2006
Quintessential Quilters Meeting
Vice-president Beckey McIntyre called the meeting to order in
the absence of President Joanne Purcell.
- Sign-up sheets were available for anyone wanting to volunteer for a committee.
The most pressing need is for a new Vice President/President Elect for next
year. Please contact Joanne or Beckey and tell them how you can help.
- Kay Hoagland has patterns available to make ornaments for next fall's
"Kids and Kamp" Auction Christmas tree. Please get your ornaments done early and give them
to Kay.
- Judy Kroll told about the new workshop scheduled for Saturday, May 13.
Ann Rebele will present "Putting Photos on Fabric" at two half-day sessions. Choose
either 9:30 to noon OR 1:30 - 4:00 for only $35.00. This is a demonstration
workshop and you will receive a booklet of information. Contact Judy Kroll or
Jody Wigton for registration.

- May 11 will be the last QQ meeting for this year and the sewing room makeover
will be featured. Please come to vote on new officers and enjoy light
refreshments as we finish the year.
- Remember NQA in June. Mike Weatherby encouraged everyone to make and donate a
Little Quilt for the auction.
Karla Zadnik was the evening’s featured quilter and showed us examples of her
quilts and their evolution.
Sally Houk was our speaker and shared new tips and techniques for using her
ribbons and yarns. She also had fabulous stuff for sale.
Show and tell completed the evening.
Respectfully submitted,
Jane Hedge, Secretary
