Minutes from the March 8, 2007
Quintessential Quilters Meeting
The March 8 meeting of the Quintessential Quilters was called to order by
President Beckey McIntyre. March birthdays and visitors were recognized.
- April 12 will feature a basket raffle, auction of donated quilt tops and
scissors sharpening, so bring your checkbook! Individuals or groups wanting to
put together a basket of quilt related items to raffle should let Beckey or
Jody Wigton know your intentions.
- Kay Hoagland had Kids n Kamp brochures and information about next fall’s
quilt auction. If you are thinking about donating a quilt, please call the KNK
office and let them know so they can plan for space. Laura Kreitmeyer is in
charge of the Christmas tree and ornaments. The best sellers are anything with
an OSU theme and/or scarlet and gray (e.g. cardinals). Laura has patterns if
you need them.
- Please let Beckey know which office you would like to volunteer for in
2007-2008! It is that time again to choose new officers. Vice-president is a
big, fun job that needs to be filled and the Secretary position will be open
also.
Speaker for the evening was Sonja Tugend. Sonja shared her hand dyed fabrics
and quilts in a most enjoyable program about art quilts.
Show and tell completed the meeting.
